Title: Treasury & Accounting Coordinator- PART TIME
Grade Number: 5, Non Exempt
Bureau: Finance-Accounting & Financial Mgmt.

Performs a variety of specialized clerical activities to support the functions and services of the bureau and department
Works under the supervision of the Manager of Treasury and Accounting
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Assist in the entry and processing of payroll related data.
B. Scan and verify bank deposits.
C. Research invoices/payments and other activities.
D. Assist employees and retirees with common questions and provide forms (W-4, Direct Deposit, etc.) upon request.
E. Complete data entry-this includes large annual, bi-annual and monthly entries as well as day to day entries.
F. Audit all entries prior to processing payroll and pension.
G. Compose pension award letters and letters to employees upon request.
H. Complete employment verifications.
I. Assist with payroll and pension processing.
J. Fold checks and other documents.
K. Compile and provide information for Right-to-Know.
L. Plan and arrange work priorities based on general assignments, projects and deadlines for completion as requested/provided by supervisor
M. Review statements, reports, and other documents as directed
N. Perform work priorities as scheduled by supervisor, based on specific monthly, weekly, and daily assignments, projects, and deadlines for completion.
O. Research and gather data required for record keeping, reports and other activities.
P. Provide quality and effective customer service (e.g. research customer inquiries) with courtesy and understanding to our customers, citizens and internal departments.
Q. Performs related work as required.
Education and Experience:
A. High school graduation.
B. Additional accounting and/or bookkeeping courses beyond high school preferred.
C. One year of related work experience desirable.
D. Equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A. Knowledge of business English, spelling, and grammar.
B. Knowledge of basic computer skills.
C. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work-related situations.
D. Ability to operate office machines.
E. Ability to write legibly.
F. Ability to understand and follow complex oral or written instructions.
G. Ability to explain complex situations clearly and concisely.
H. Ability to process and review billings, make arithmetic computations and tabulations with speed and accuracy.

Requires intensive daily use of computer, calculator, copy machine, fax machine, telephone
